About The Position

We are broadening our PREEvision business sector and seek a results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify market opportunities, anticipate technological advancements, and drive the adoption of our systems engineering solutions. You will: Business Strategy & Development Drive and execute strategic business development plans for assigned product line. Identify and create both new and add-on business opportunities with target OEMs and Tier-1s. Strategically build customer relationships from technical to executive management stakeholders. Customer Relationship Management Act as the primary point of contact facilitating revenue growth targets and issue resolution. Build trusted advisor relationships by positioning the company as an innovation partner and aligning our solutions with customer strategies. Lead regular executive business reviews. Business Development Management Work with account management to follow opportunities through to a sale including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and product deliveries Create customer presentations and technical articles, develop webinars, participate in congresses and trade fairs. Internal Collaboration Work closely with product line management and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction. Provide market and customer feedback to influence product roadmaps. Market & Industry Insight Monitor automotive electronic and software technology trends within the domains of model-based systems engineering, E/E architecture, Software Defined Vehicle, requirements engineering, and variant management. Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts. Vector is a global, growing company with industry-leading software products. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management—preferably in the automotive, software, or engineering sector.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in E/E development, systems engineering, modeling, or testing (e.g., Networking Standards for Automotive, SysML/UML, requirements engineering).
  • Strong technical understanding of software and system development tools and E/E architecture processes.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new business and building strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel 20 to 40% as needed
