About The Position

The Business Development Manager will lead strategic sales and negotiation efforts, driving the growth of OffShore/Subsea equipment, products, and services for MFE Inspection Solutions, including inspection, repair, maintenance, intervention support, rental equipment, and project-based solutions. This role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing client relationships, and converting technical capability into profitable business across offshore energy, marine, and related offshore industrial sectors. The Business Development Manager of the OffShore Division understands the subsea market and can credibly engage with technical vendors and commercial stakeholders to build and maintain long-term professional partnerships. This position is empowered to work closely with all MFE Inspection Solutions teams to solidify business strategies, capabilities, and margin goals while consistently generating revenues for MFE Inspection Solutions through brand loyalty, marketing leads, trade show contacts, and individual lead generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business development, sales, or account management experience in subsea equipment or the offshore oil and gas sector.
  • Proven track record of generating revenue growth and expanding client portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of subsea technologies, equipment lifecycle, and rental solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated with a strong results-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy and processes for subsea markets and maintain relationships with all key accounts.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities with offshore operators, contractors, service companies, and engineering firms.
  • Manage a pipeline of leads, proposals, bids, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to scope services, price work, and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, capability statements, and customer presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging subsea technologies.
  • Support trade shows, conferences, client meetings, and networking events.
  • Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Maintain Proficient use and management of HubSpot CRM for accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM documentation.
  • Planning, organization, and problem-solving skills in relation to customer service and vendor communication
  • Advanced time management skills and documentation skillset with the ability to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Communicate and provide awareness to all customers (existing, prior and potential) for all outreach and marketing events
  • Monitor expenses and expenditures to ensure that net profitability remains aligned with business goals, objectives, and established expectations.
  • Maintain sales and execution standards, ensuring that deadlines and commitments are consistently met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
