Position overviewThe purpose of this role is to expand the Additives business in North America (US and Canada) by maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, exploring new market opportunities, increasing allnex’s additive brand awareness, and generating sales leads. The person in this position will collaborate with key accounts, allnex’s key account managers, and distribution partners to serve customers in the coatings industry and related non-coating sectors. The objective is to integrate allnex’s Additive technologies into coatings and parts manufacturing—including liquid, powder, radiation-curing, and crosslinkers—to drive growth in targeted markets and applications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in coatings or additive technologies such as UV-curable resins, dispersants, acid catalysts, oxidative driers, additive manufacturing, defoamers, tires, and alkyds (experience in these areas is a plus).
  • Demonstrated practical experience and success in at least two of the following areas: coatings industry, R&D, analysis, sales, formulation, or business management.
  • Availability to travel around 35%.
  • BS, Eng., or BA in chemistry or technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth for all Additives regionally by promoting strategic products and identifying market needs, opportunities, and competitive weaknesses in North America.
  • Provide additive training for internal and external customers.
  • Create new business leads for Additives in new markets/regions, offering combined expertise across all Additives technologies.
  • Improve internal and external awareness of Additives and identify cross-segment opportunities for global customers.
  • Liaise with global business teams, sales functions, marketing, PLM, and communications to build interfaces that support business growth.
  • Lead regional adjacency projects (high-potential Additive projects).
  • Perform lab work to support product development and resolve customer complaints.
