The Business Development Manager will be responsible for proactively reaching out to Associations, Chambers of Commerce and other referral sources to pursue and create/sign referral partnerships in order to create inbound warm leads for Sales team members to onboard as merchant service customers. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and nurturing new Sales Partners through self-generated leads. This includes proactive outreach through professional networking and leveraging personal industry connections. A key component of this role is spending 60-70% of time traveling in the field, engaging face-to-face with prospective partners to build trust, assess alignment. Ultimately, securing commitment and closing the sale. Manage sales partner inquiries generated by entering leads into DLX CRM, proactively contact potential and existing candidates to develop relationships, follow up on leads in a timely manner, and disposition candidates appropriately during each sales cycle. Track / Review signed partnerships to ensure productivity standards are being met. Develop comprehensive, competitive proposals that drive new business opportunities. Successfully lead negotiations and related contract terms (and related exhibits) that properly protect Deluxe's business interest while also addressing partner needs to create a mutually beneficial relationship. Deliver to management timely and informative presentations relating to sales funnel and the movement of opportunities within. Create company advertising campaigns, media events, and attendance at industry conferences. At times, BDM may work with a team of 2-5 appointment setters to schedule meetings/appointments. BDM will need to be able to coordinate schedules and calling campaigns.
