What you’ll be doing: This position directs the business development activities within a defined geography to help meet the company’s established goals by understanding service lines and demonstrating industry knowledge through strong collaborative and leadership skills. Including but not limited to: Work with branch, regional, and corporate leadership to develop business plans that establish specific, measurable business development goals that support the established financial goals. Carry out and lead regular meetings with appropriate staff to strategize and share feedback on business development activities within the branch and/or region. Understand client needs and how F&R can help meet them. Seek out new and nurture existing business relationships that are mutually beneficial. Actively seek opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell services. Assist technical and marketing personnel with preparation of client-focused proposals. Attend industry-related networking events, trade shows, and conferences with the goal of establishing relationships and promoting the F&R brand. Encourage, assist, and direct others to engage in business development related activities as appropriate. Be aware of emerging trends affecting the market and/or services provided by the company. Actively use F&R’s CRM system to share relevant information and research. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Specific relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in same or related field highly preferred
  • Ability to manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to meet self-imposed strategic goals
  • Ability to participate in industry events
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both speaking and writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Valid US. Driver’s License and good standing driving record
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
