As a Business Development Manager, within PNC’s Financial Wellness Solutions, you will be primarily based in Walnut Creek, CA, San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA. PNC Financial Wellness Solutions offers a comprehensive suite of solutions to meet the needs of various businesses and their employees. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with clients to develop and drive a financial wellness program aligned with organizational goals and objectives. In this role, you will provide innovative solutions including health and benefit accounts, student debt solutions, earned wage access and other financial wellness offerings. You will employ a consultative based sales approach to acquire new business relationships. You will also work directly with knowledgeable client services teams and partners to support the growth of a book of business. Experience selling to one or more of the following areas is preferred: professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, wholesale, general services. The role focuses on acquiring new clients across financial wellness solutions, with an emphasis on growing sales, revenue, and market share. The manager typically works with clients with basic levels of risk and complexity, generally with a higher degree of supervision. The position involves acquiring, expanding, and retaining client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet, handling origination, financial analysis, negotiation, and documentation of non-credit products and services. It also includes managing risk/return, driving quality for clients, actively identifying and mitigating various risks, and focusing on client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on client needs and financial well-being. The role aims to increase client engagement and loyalty, build an effective network of internal and external relationships, and present the full range of PNC's products and services. The manager will leverage reporting and sales tools to convert sales opportunities and demonstrate ability to analyze, evaluate, and inform on financial wellness solutions product knowledge, industry benchmarking, and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Education: Bachelors.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
