Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field OR 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in truck parts or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of medium to heavy-duty truck parts and fleet/vocational market operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution-based/value selling (not price-driven).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Excellent time management, autonomy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training or experience in consultative/solution-based B2B sales.
  • Proven success in a high-performing Business Development role.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills; ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Experience forecasting customer demand and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Working knowledge of parts and service operations in the heavy-duty truck sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with market insights and company goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across assigned sectors or regions.
  • Conduct in-depth research and conversations to vet leads and potential clients.
  • Prepare for and lead impactful sales calls focused on understanding and solving customer challenges.
  • Document all activities, interactions, and follow-ups in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and other internal teams.
  • Use available tools and analytics for sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Maintain and update account plans regularly, review with management and peers for feedback.
  • Support customer order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Leverage product research tools and engineering support to solve technical challenges and access new markets.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
