About The Position

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Leader specializing in the low voltage industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales strategies, market analysis, and client relationship management within the electrical and low voltage sectors. This role offers the opportunity to assist with leadership and execution of a dynamic division in a growing industry, with competitive compensation, and performance incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand our presence in the low voltage markets.
  • Assist project teams throughout the preconstruction and build process to help ensure division success and sustainability.
  • Lead business development initiatives, including prospecting new clients, cold calling, networking, proposal writing, and negotiating contracts for large and small -scale projects involving structured cabling, telecom infrastructure, and integrated systems.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical and project teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Monitor division performance metrics, implement process improvements, and report on progress to executive leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and present weekly updates on business development activities, including forecasts and performance metrics.
  • Assist, manage and/or mentor team of project managers, and technical staff.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on bid preparation, system design recommendations, pricing strategies, and risk management for complex projects.
  • Experience managing P&L for a division or business unit, with skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies like edge computing, smart buildings, or unified communications.
