About The Position

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager with 5–7 years of experience in financial services to help drive growth and strengthen our client relationships. Based in our New York office, this role is designed for someone who has already built a strong foundation in client management and is ready to take on more ownership: expanding accounts, shaping strategy, and working directly with leadership at a high-growth startup.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in financial services (investment banking, alternatives, consulting, credit, investing, or sales & trading) in a client-facing business development or account management role.
  • Proven success in building and growing senior-level client relationships.
  • A “startup-ready” mindset - entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a preference for in-person interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or familiarity with private credit markets is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the trusted advisor and primary contact for clients, ensuring long-term engagement.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine business development processes, go-to-market strategies, and client engagement models.
  • Cultivate relationships through regular in-person interactions, networking, and industry events.
  • Manage client support needs and optimize reporting to surface trends, guide strategy, and support decision-making.
