About The Position

Beefs up client base through scouting for potential clients, developing marketing and sales plan, making actual sales transactions, maintaining existing clients, and providing market information to be used developing marketing and sales plans and targets. Performs Field & Monitoring and Health & Safety function as Hygienist (Audit, Inspection and Technical Advisory for WEM, IAQ and I&E Hygiene) in Guam, USA. Protect Local Contribution (LC) by ensuring costing assumptions are considered in the deployment and expenses are monitored. Presents, offers, follows up and makes sales transactions for SGS services. Develops and implements Marketing and Sales Plans to ensure a robust Sales pipeline and meeting Sales targets. Submits Weekly Sales Plan and Sales Accomplishment Reports Increases client base by scouting for potential clients and maintaining managed accounts through identification of their needs, packaging services that would best fulfil their requirements, and making successful sales transactions. Maintains regular communication with managed accounts and follows up proposals with potential clients. Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in collaboration of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior. Drive Efficiency and Improvement. Achieve target level of utilization of Field & Monitoring and Health & Safety Inspectors/Auditors/Hygienists and ensure operational costs are within budget, through effective scheduling and management of other resources Enhance Capability. Develop technical capability of inspection team according to client/ market requirements. Ensure SGS Technical governance standards and standard operating procedures are understood and up to date. Satisfy Client Requirements. Coordinate with local and international clients, subcontractors, consultants and other SGS departments and affiliates to ensure service delivery. Write and submit timely and accurate reports based on client requirements, and management reports required by local, regional, global management teams. Enhance profitability and liquidity. Ensure operations comply with pricing assumptions with the objective of protecting local contribution (LC) of the EHS Business. Coordinate with Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure service delivery for work that can only be done by external parties. This includes negotiation, approval, and maintenance of service contracts. Collects EHS samples in the client premises ensuring quality and coordinate with SGS Guam administration officer on the logistics and delivery of the samples to the approved affiliates for testing. Ensures the timely execution of EHS jobs in Guam customers – Field & Monitoring and Health & safety. Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Sanitary Engineering or Environmental Science
  • Must be a legal resident of Guam, USA
  • Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in marketing and selling EHS Services.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Field Operations and/or as Industrial Hygienist
  • Can write and speak very good English
  • Understands the technical aspects of the EHS Services Portfolio and can relate these to client needs
  • Can prepare proposals with minimum supervision based on EHS Services Price List and proposal templates.
  • Can prepare proposals for EHS Technical Services under supervision of the EHS Business Manager
