About Public Institutions Group: JLL's Public Institutions Group is a premier provider of strategic real estate services for local, state, national and international public institutions, offering a range of services that cover the spectrum of the real estate cycle. Our team supports three practice areas: Government, Education, and Non-profit Advisory Services, Integrated Facilities Management, and Aerospace & Defense. What the job involves: We are currently seeking a Summer Intern in Business Development to join our Public Institutions Business Development Team. In this role, you will learn strategic business development processes, analytical problem-solving techniques, and client engagement strategies within the commercial real estate industry.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in Business, Real Estate, Operations Management, Professional Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Accounting
  • Financial and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex business problems
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Organization and Detail: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to explain complex information concisely
  • Permanent US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Opportunity Tracking: Investigate and track real estate opportunities in federal, state, local, K-12, higher education, and aerospace and defense sectors
  • Client Data Analysis: Support the collection and analysis of client data while assisting with thought leadership initiatives through research and presentation development
  • Business Development Support: Collaborate with Business Development, Solutions Development, and Account Teams to execute strategies implemented by Managing Directors
  • Client Engagement Activities: Conduct research to identify key contacts for government agencies, perform prospect outreach, coordinate meetings, and participate in client engagement activities
  • Marketing and Presentation Support: Update and maintain Salesforce tracking systems, assist with marketing presentations and templates, and help prepare client deliverables and market updates
