About The Position

As a Business Development Executive (Streamworks), you will be responsible for building a client base by setting up meetings with potential clients, assessing their needs, and presenting solution-based proposals. You will be positioned as a skilled expert in the direct marketing challenges our clients face, build relationships with key decision makers by qualifying opportunities and presenting the client with strategic program solutions that are customized to best fit their needs. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of Direct Marketing and Production Services, including extensive knowledge in print, data, direct mail, and fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of offset print, digital/variable print and direct mail marketing required. Email, social media and inbound marketing experience preferred.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and goal-oriented; driven by success.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and logical problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to connect with and influence key decision makers at all levels.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to have a well-structured conversation.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible work environment, and adapt to change.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications preferred
  • 3+ years Sales experience in an agency or print setting required
  • 4+ years Direct Marketing experience, direct mail experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively prospect and qualify potential clients through networking and calling efforts, setting meetings to introduce them to our product and service offerings, using a consultative approach to assess their direct marketing needs.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand how we can help provide tactical direct marketing solutions.
  • Conduct client site visits in a professional client-centric manner.
  • Field questions from clients and work with various departments and internal/external resources to provide proposals/estimates, list recommendations, database services, program enhancements and/or efficiency recommendations.
  • Job estimation and proposal creation.
  • Work with the highest degree of accuracy and follow through.
  • Qualifying the opportunity and identifying revenue opportunities.
  • Meeting and exceeding all sales and client services related performance goals on a consistent basis.
  • Utilize management CRM system to track and report on pipeline activity, development status, and planning for next steps. Reviews reports, activity and status with management.
  • Tracking project costs and profitability.
  • Other duties as assigned
