About The Position

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is a hybrid hunter/qualifier role that sits at the front of Weave’s Mid-Market sales motion. This role is responsible for both outbound prospecting from provided target lists and qualifying inbound leads routed to the Mid-Market team. The BDE performs structured discovery, validates deal fit and intent, delivers initial product overviews and demos to influencers, and sets high-quality follow-up meetings with Mid-Market Account Executives and decision-makers. This role also serves as a coverage and continuity layer for the AE team, ensuring no opportunity stalls due to availability gaps. • This position will be hybrid (remote / in-office)

Requirements

  • 3 to 6+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, AE, or inside sales (SaaS preferred)
  • Experience handling both inbound and outbound lead flows
  • Comfort performing discovery calls and delivering initial demos or product overviews
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience documenting discovery and deal context in a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Coachability and willingness to operate as part of a team-based sales motion

Responsibilities

  • Executing outbound prospecting efforts using curated target account lists
  • Responding to and qualifying inbound Mid-Market leads
  • Validating lead quality, buying intent, key stake holder, and deal fit before, AE handoff
  • Performing structured discovery and documenting findings in Salesforce, request location information and Hierarchy creation
  • Delivering initial product overviews and demos to influencers and individual offices
  • Scheduling and coordinating follow-up meetings with Mid-Market Account Executives and decision-makers for Corporate Demos and discovery
  • Providing demo and deal coverage when AEs are out of office or unavailable
  • Supporting hierarchical deal structures by demoing individual locations while AEs handle corporate-level demos
  • Acting as a catch-all resource to ensure deal momentum and prospect responsiveness
  • Maintaining high-quality CRM hygiene, notes, contact creation, and activity tracking
  • Partnering closely with AEs, CSMs, Marketing, and RevOps to ensure seamless opportunity progression
