Business Development Executive – Microsoft Account Avanade is looking for an experienced seller who thrives on originating, shaping, and closing complex services deals. This is an individual contributor role where you will own a defined territory and quota, driving measurable revenue across Avanade’s priority solution areas. Success in this role means collaborating closely with Avanade, Accenture, and Microsoft to bring innovative solutions to clients and deliver business outcomes that matter. What you’ll do Own the sales cycle end to end: from pipeline creation to signed SOW — including discovery, qualification, pursuit strategy, pricing, negotiation, and close for multi tower services (Data & AI, Security, SRE/Operations, App Dev, Data Engineering). Sell-to Microsoft: Position Avanade & Accenture’s differentiated services to align with Microsoft’s AI and agentic transformation agenda. Create Value Propositions: translate technical capabilities (e.g. data platforms, ML Ops, SRE/Service Excellence) into quantified business outcomes tied to the customer’s roadmap. Deal governance & forecasting: run pursuits through standard approval gates and maintain high quality forecast hygiene in CRM; partner with sales ops/deal desk for compliant, timely contract closure. Executive relationship management: build trusted relationships with Director/VP/CVP stakeholders; facilitate solutioning workshops and showcase demos/proofs aligned to Microsoft’s priorities. Account growth: expand wallet share through renewals, upsells, and cross sell across Data & AI, Security, Modern Apps, and Intelligent Operations; land pilot scale motions leveraging Avanade assets. .

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ enterprise services sales experience with a proven track record closing multimillion dollar consulting/managed services deals for clients in Hi-Tech industries.
  • Hands on familiarity with running deals E2E on different service offering like Data Engineering, SRE/ICM, Developer productivity, GenAI led service motions etc.
  • Strong pursuit leadership: executive storytelling, value engineering/ROI, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing complex services contracts.
  • CRM discipline and sales governance familiarity (forecasting, approvals, deal desk processes).
  • Existing MSFT client Sell-To relationships
