Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Director (BDD) to spearhead TikTok Shop partnerships and solutions within the Omnicom ecosystem. In this pivotal senior role, you will own and drive the end-to-end business development lifecycle, from cultivating leads from a large based of existing customers to closing opportunities and ensuring the successful transition of customers to account management. platform relationships to shaping client solutions and orchestrating internal teams for seamless execution. Your work will accelerate Flywheel Venture’s presence and leadership across Omnicom in the fast-evolving world of social and marketplace commerce.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in business development, partnership management, or digital commerce—ideally within an agency, holding company, or platform environment.
  • Deep expertise in social commerce, marketplace platforms, or digital retail; hands-on experience with TikTok Shop, Douyin, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships, delivering measurable business growth, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills at the senior/executive level.
  • Entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-evolving, ambiguous environments.
  • Data-driven approach; comfortable with KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the Omnicom network, agency landscape, and the unique needs of global brands.
  • Passion for digital innovation, new commerce models, and the future of retail.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Flywheel Venture’s primary relationship lead for Omnicom selling TikTok shop and emerging social commerce platforms, acting as the senior point of contact for all partnership initiatives.
  • Build, deepen, and manage strategic partnerships ; representing Ventures at platform events, executive briefings, and partner summits.
  • Collaborate with Omnicom agency teams and client leads to identify and develop TikTok Shop opportunities, ensuring alignment with client goals and Flywheel Ventures objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of partnership-driven opportunities, from pipeline origination and pitch to solution design, negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Lead cross-functional, cross-agency teams (including Strategy, Media, Creative, Commerce, and Data) to deliver best-in-class TikTok Shop solutions.
  • Partner with Marketing and PR to develop and share success stories, case studies, and thought leadership that highlight Omnicom’s innovation in social commerce.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key partnership and pipeline metrics, providing actionable insights to Flywheel Commerce Group and Ventures leadership.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the Omnicom network.
