About The Position

Established in 1985 with a foundation in systems engineering, PGH Wong has grown into a full service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program and project management consulting firm serving public and private clients nationwide. The Business Development Coordinator supports the firm’s strategic growth initiatives by coordinating pursuit activities, maintaining visibility into the opportunity pipeline, and assisting leadership in positioning the firm for key opportunities across targeted markets. This role works closely with the President, Director of Business Development, Business Development Managers, Directors, and technical project teams to help organize and advance pursuit efforts, maintain alignment across teams, and support disciplined execution throughout the pursuit lifecycle. The Business Development Coordinator is a coordination role that supports visibility, accountability, and process discipline across the firm’s business development activities. The position does not supervise marketing, proposal, or business development staff, but helps coordinate efforts across these groups to support successful pursuits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 10 or more years of professional experience in engineering consulting, business development support, project management, or related industries.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience working with infrastructure or transportation clients and public sector agencies is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal visibility into upcoming procurements, capture planning activities, and priority opportunities.
  • Organize business development coordination meetings and track action items.
  • Support leadership in preparing for pursuit strategy discussions and planning sessions.
  • Prepare briefing materials for leadership meetings with clients and industry partners.
  • Track priority clients, agencies, and potential teaming partners.
  • Monitor industry developments, agency capital programs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support client engagement activities and follow up on relationship development initiatives.
  • Coordinate proposal development activities with marketing and technical teams.
  • Organize proposal materials, including project descriptions, staff resumes, and firm qualifications.
  • Coordinate internal proposal review cycles and submission schedules.
  • Support preparation of interview presentations and selection meetings.
  • Coordinate collaboration between business development leadership, marketing staff, and technical project teams.
  • Track milestones and action items associated with major pursuits.
  • Assist with preparation of materials related to strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Assist leadership in identifying market trends, competitive positioning, and strategic opportunities across target markets.
