About The Position

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the growth objectives of Tepa’s Technology Business Unit by identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new business opportunities. This role is responsible for proactive opportunity research, pipeline development, and high-volume proposal coordination and submission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Desire to learn about the government/contractor relationship and business development in the government contracting environment
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess opportunity relevance.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and performance-driven with a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts related to IT, cybersecurity, GIS, and related services.
  • Organized and process-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting growth objectives.

  • Exposure to federal procurement processes
  • Familiarity with online government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts daily research across federal, state, local, and commercial procurement platforms to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Reviews RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and Sources Sought notices to assess alignment with Technology Business Unit capabilities.
  • Tracks and maintains a structured opportunity pipeline.
  • Monitors contract vehicles, agency forecasts, and competitor activity to identify upcoming pursuits.
  • Develops summaries and qualification briefs for leadership review
  • Coordinates and supports the development of compliant, high-quality proposals.
  • Manages proposal calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Submits proposals through designated procurement portals.
  • Supports high-volume proposal production in alignment with business unit growth targets.
  • Assists in qualifying opportunities using defined bid/no-bid criteria.
  • Supports capture planning activities including data gathering and customer research.
  • Coordinates with technical subject matter experts to gather required proposal inputs.
  • Maintains accurate records in CRM and opportunity tracking systems.
  • Conduct weekly status meeting with Technology EVP
  • Communicates clearly regarding deadlines, required inputs, and submission status.
  • Participates in internal strategy discussions related to target agencies and market segments.
