About The Position

Smith Anglin Financial is an airline-focused wealth management practice based in Dallas, Texas. With $2B+ under management as of September 2025, we focus our efforts on serving pilots who fly for the major airlines, both those who are in need of guidance with retirement decisions as well as early career pilots who are building their retirement portfolio. We help individuals and families make informed financial and tax decisions triggered by their unique life events with an emphasis on proactive goal setting. Our team of approximately 34 professionals is committed to delivering reliable, client-focused wealth management and tax services tailored to the needs of high-net-worth individuals. Requirements

  • A proven track record in business development and 3+ years of sales experience including warm calling, and in person presentations
  • Good verbal communication and strong relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with a strategic mindset and a passion for growth
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • A commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards to align with our fiduciary duty
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of financial markets and investment strategies preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of financial products and services preferred but not required
  • Applicable licenses and certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) are a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Execute and collaborate on strategic outreach plans targeting pilots, airline employees, and aviation executives
  • Follow the Smith Anglin Sales process including warm introduction calls to prospective clients
  • Track and analyze business development metrics to refine strategies and report progress
  • Build and maintain relationships with aviation professionals
  • Create customized financial plans based on a prospective client’s financial profile
  • Present the prepared financial plan along with our comprehensive wealth management solutions to prospective clients in person or on virtual calls
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to onboard new clients and ensure a seamless transition into the practice
  • Maintain knowledge of aviation compensation structures, retirement plans and industry trends
  • Occasionally travel to meet with prospective clients across the united States
