About The Position

The client is an investment firm focused on providing growth capital to consumer and services businesses, particularly in the legal sector. They are looking to hire a Virtual Assistant with focus on Business Development responsibilities to assist in their outreach efforts to law firms for providing growth capital. The client is seeking someone who has experience with creative outreach, specifically in the investment sector.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role is required.
  • Proven Sourcing and Outreach Expertise : Demonstrated success in deal sourcing and conducting initial outreach.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency in using CRM or other communication tools for effective appointment setting and prospect follow-up.
  • Communication & Presence: Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport over the phone. A neutral accent is preferred to ensure seamless interactions, especially when conducting outreach calls to law firms.
  • Organization & Detail: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capability to efficiently manage multiple outreach tasks simultaneously.
  • Strategic Thinking: A creative mindset with the skill to develop innovative and effective outreach strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Sector-Specific Sourcing: Proven ability to source and conduct outreach for investment, growth capital firms, or legacy/family businesses (e.g., in sectors like HVAC or plumbing). Experience must ideally be in these sectors, not the technology sector.
  • Experience or familiarity with investment or funding procedures.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry, particularly regarding law firms.

Responsibilities

  • Targeted Outreach and Meeting Setting: Identify and conduct outreach to managing partners at targeted law firms (from a provided list) to discuss capital investment opportunities. Set appointments for call meetings with these managing partners.
  • Communication and Strategy: Frame outreach messages to effectively engage potential clients. Collaborate with the senior team to continuously refine outreach strategies.
  • Administration and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all outreach efforts and results. Assist with administrative tasks related to outreach and deal flow, as needed.
