Advance business development initiatives for a leading Finance and Bankruptcy practice at a top-tier firm. Sheppard, a global Am Law 50 firm, has created a new Business Development and Marketing Specialist role to support the growing Finance and Bankruptcy practice and a diverse portfolio of industry teams, including Blockchain & Fintech, Real Estate Finance, Mortgage Banking, Tribal and Native American Law, and other client-focused groups. The Specialist will play a key role in driving business development goals and strengthening market presence, within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role in action: Provide responsive day-to-day support to the Business Development Manager and attorneys, effectively leveraging firm resources while managing competing requests and deadlines. Develop persuasive, tailored proposals, pitches, and RFP responses that align with client objectives and strategically position the firm for new business opportunities. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of industry and practice content, including marketing collateral, templates, matter experience records, website and intranet pages, team rosters, and contact lists. Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan and execute client programs, webinars, conferences, and sponsorships, managing logistics, outreach, and follow-up to enhance visibility and client relationships. Conduct in-depth industry, practice, client, and prospect research to support business development and profile-raising opportunities. Coordinate legal directory and ranking submissions by gathering matters and references, and assisting in the collection of submission materials. Develop agendas and track action items to help drive continued progress on initiatives to meet practice and team goals.
