Requirements

  • A combination of education, marketing, and sales experience totaling 3 years.
  • Valid New York State driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with contract procurement and knowledge of local industry highly desirable.
  • Federal, state, and local business development experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities via outreach, cold calling, marketing campaigns, and in-person meetings.
  • Develop and manage sales accounts for LAICO, Classified Scanning & Shredding, and related businesses.
  • Prepare and revise client quotations in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies.
  • Generate sales and marketing reports; maintain detailed records of all marketing and sales activity.
  • Represent the agency in the business community through participation in boards, committees, and professional organizations.
  • Research NYSID and other state/federal regulations to support compliance and improve contract success.
  • Prepare and submit contract bids and renewals in alignment with State and Federal guidelines.
  • Ensure quotations and contracts meet regulatory standards and renegotiate as needed.
  • Maintain regular client contact to ensure service quality and address issues related to sales, delivery, and billing.
  • Foster customer satisfaction through timely and high-quality contract fulfillment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support seamless execution and service delivery.
  • Supervise, support, and provide coverage for the Customer Service Representative.
  • Foster a culture of responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Assist the Director and Senior VP in advancing departmental objectives.
  • Serve as a key member of the LAICO Management Team.
  • Assist production teams in identifying and sourcing materials and equipment for subcontract work.
  • Participate in equipment grant writing when requested.
  • Communicate job requirements and document production plans (e.g., job tickets, purchase orders, procedures).
  • Secure contracts that create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals we support.
  • Refer potential employment leads to the Placement Specialist to support broader vocational goals.
  • Participate in agency meetings, training sessions, and internal committees.
  • Model professionalism in all interactions and maintain a clean, presentable appearance.
  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory or contractual standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
