Business Developer – Community Management Division Position Overview The Business Developer plays a critical role in expanding Inframark’s presence within the community association and public sector markets. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities while nurturing long-term partnerships that reflect Inframark’s values of Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of business management within Associations or Not-for-Profit organizations, including familiarity with meetings and legal notice requirements, governing documents, budgeting processes, architectural review procedures, and the ability to read plats and related resources. A successful candidate is a discerning, emotionally intelligent professional who listens deeply, understands client needs, and envisions solutions that align with their goals. They approach opportunities ethically and consultatively - positioning Inframark’s services and resources as strategic answers to real challenges. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this role blends market development, relationship building, strategic sales, and partnership stewardship.

Requirements

  • Proven success in business development, client engagement, or consultative sales — preferably within community association management, municipal services, real estate development, or a related industry.
  • Understanding / knowledge of Association / Not For Profit business management, meetings, legal notices, governing documents, budgeting, architectural reviews, reading of Plats and similar resources are useful.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and communicate with authenticity and empathy.
  • Strategic thinker with a consultative approach to problem solving and the ability to align services to client needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Administration, or related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–10 years of relevant business development or client engagement experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community association management, real estate development, or municipal/government contracting is highly desirable.
  • AMS, CMCA, PCAM, LCAM, or other relevant professional designations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with property owner associations, developers, builders, and municipal clients through networking, referrals, industry events, and proactive outreach.
  • Research and evaluate prospective projects, markets, and emerging trends to guide strategic pursuit planning.
  • Drive targeted sales initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and execute customized pursuit strategies.
  • Recommend and help develop new sales channels and growth strategies as market conditions evolve.
  • Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with Boards, developers, consultants, and other key decision-makers.
  • Serve as a consultative partner — listening to client needs, understanding their priorities, and aligning Inframark’s capabilities and services to deliver meaningful solutions.
  • Actively participate in industry organizations, trade shows, seminars, and professional networks to elevate Inframark’s visibility and credibility.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospective and existing clients throughout the proposal, selection, and onboarding process to ensure clarity, trust, and alignment.
  • Lead or support the procurement process, including sourcing and managing RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents.
  • Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and pricing materials that clearly articulate value, outcomes, and alignment with client goals.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from proposal to project initiation, confirming that commitments are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Provide timely follow-up and client engagement post-award to strengthen relationships and support renewal opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive activity, emerging needs, and evolving market dynamics to inform business development strategies.
  • Contribute insights and feedback to leadership on trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Track pursuits, pipeline status, and outcomes through CRM tools, reporting dashboards, and regular updates to leadership.
