This role is a pivotal member of the OCP’s Data team, tasked with using data to enable the OCP to better monitor and improve the public health posture of its adult use program, as well as with enabling better data-driven policy and enforcement within the OCP’s Medical Cannabis program. To this end, you’ll work with external agencies to expand the breadth and depth of the OCP’s public health data library, conduct data analysis to help answer internal questions from OCP stakeholders, and build dashboards and other reporting tools to help monitor public health outcomes. You’ll also use your demonstrated knowledge and skills in public health to translate often nuanced scientific terminology into real-world insights for non-technical stakeholders. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work with subject matter experts across OCP–including the OCP Chemist and other business teams–to design data collection systems, analyze program outcomes, and integrate data into operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will also be a proactive project manager, capable to translating needs to action items effectively. They will champion robust data management practices throughout OCP and enhance the organizational culture of data-driven decision making. This position reports to the OCP Director of Data Analytics.
