About The Position

Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions is seeking a Business Controls Analyst-Quality Control. This role was established to provide a first line of defense testing and control process for Angel Oak operations. The Auditor must demonstrate proficiency by properly exercising professional and expert judgment while maintaining objectivity and independence in forming audit review report and recommendations based on the findings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will assist in reviewing comprehensive risk assessment categories for adequately mitigating operational risk factors. Defining scopes for designated audits based upon risk assessments and provided written audit summaries. Perform internal audits on processes, policies & procedures, regulatory compliance, agency restrictions and state rules. Evaluate associated risks and ensure action plans for mediation are being adhered to. Provide consistent feedback from audits to assigned Managers and calibrate modifications to the review process to ensure an effective review program. Monitor and review the monthly Compare Ratio Report and Neighborhood Watch reporting from FHA Connection. Assist in preparing documentation for any state, agency, investor or internal audit reviews, including testing assistance for program guidelines. Document necessary action items for targeted audit findings and suspected areas of non-compliance to ensure controls are both adequately implemented and maintained. Assist in research, resolution and responses for state, federal, agencies and investor reviews or policy initiative. Complete targeted and discretionary audits will be assigned periodically. Additional internal or quality control auditing responsibilities as assigned by the CQCO. Maintain the Business Controls Project Schedule to ensure testing is completed in a timely manner. QualificationsExperience, Competencies and Education: Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years’ auditing experience with a variety of products, either pre-funding or post-closing, including but not limited to Conventional and FHA loans. Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in an environment with numerous deadlines and demands. Minimum 3– 5 years’ compliance/risk management experience (mortgage or financial services experience). Manual UW experience with non-prime products, government insured programs and exposure to basic TRID requirements relative to timing and tolerance thresholds, preferred Minimum 3 years Encompass experience preferred Motivated self-starter, strong organizational skills, ability to maintain adherence to detailed guidelines. Additional Requirements: Must be able to maintain privacy standards of sensitive company and associate information. Must be able to maintain an amiable, team spirit approach and positive attitude always. Intermediate Experience in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and ShareFile. Requirements
