About The Position

Siemens Mobility is looking for a dynamic Business Controlling Manager to join our Rolling Stock Manufacturing team. This key leadership role will be based in Sacramento, CA and will play a critical part in driving financial performance and operational excellence across North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting preferred
  • 7+ years of validated experience with financial planning, accounting, and finance, with the ability to provide strategic insight through financial metrics
  • Advanced analytical abilities, financial modeling, strong Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a plus), and strong business modeling skills
  • Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills while interacting at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to gather, structure, consolidate and analyze large amounts of financial
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Team oriented; builds constructive and effective relationships across teams and hierarchies

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain standard operating procedures for Business Controlling.
  • Drive cost optimization strategies across the factory.
  • Manage and develop a team of financial analysts while collaborating with key stakeholders, including Performance Controller, Siemens Real Estate, and Factory Commercial Project Manager.
  • Ensure accurate monthly reporting and forecasting for costs, free cash flow, and factory absorption.
  • Oversee monthly closing activities and perform variance, root cause, and trend analyses to support decision-making.
  • Prepare inputs for annual budgeting and manage monthly allocations (internal and external).
  • Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, supporting strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Champion digitalization and implement controlling initiatives while sharing best practices across NAM and global factories.
  • Support external audits and provide timely, high-quality documentation in a fast-paced, agile environment.
