Requirements

  • Experience in Availability Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR), and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Plan to implement appropriate contingency plans and controls.
  • Prepare business lines for potential disruptions through effective communication and reporting processes related to Incident Management and Business Continuity.
  • Coordinate tactical activities of BCM, including conducting Business Impact Assessments (BIA) to understand the impact of process failures.
  • Stay informed about environmental and business-impacting BCM-related risks.
  • Conduct BCM exercises to validate planning assumptions and test controls, including work area recovery and simulations.
  • Advise on continuity strategies, identifying risks, determining risk tolerances, and selecting appropriate recovery strategies.
  • Identify gaps in application capabilities and work with business and IT to resolve them through acceptance, workarounds, or enhancement projects.
  • Ensure all Business Continuity Plans conform to Enterprise BCM standards.
  • Provide analysis and insights on platform-specific Key Risk Indicators (KRI) to support management reporting and resolve deficiencies.
  • Partner with the EBCM Central team and business line executives to maintain a multi-discipline Incident Management Team for resilient incident responses.
  • Track outstanding audit items or regulatory findings related to BCM and ensure timelines are met.
  • Act as Secretary to the Business Line(s) Regional Incident Management Team, maintaining relationships with other Crisis Management Teams.
  • Support business change initiatives related to BCM, including BIA, BCP, and recovery testing.
