About The Position

Position Summary: The Business Continuity Intern will gain experience in the business continuity field by providing support to the vendor and risk management team. This position will assist with a variety of special projects and support functions designed to achieve the overall strategic objectives of the Risk Management department. Requirements

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates high accuracy in data entry with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills to analyze information and make sounds decisions
  • Accountable for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Currently attending a college or university and have taken intermediate level courses typically in the third year of study.
  • Pursuit of degree in Business preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with each business unit to identify critical business processes
  • Obtain current documented procedures for each critical process
  • Determining workaround if key systems are down
  • Begin working on updated Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for each critical process
  • Identify and establish contingency plans with departments
  • Design of tabletop exercises to test plans
