About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant to support digital banking and payments initiatives. This role will partner with product, IT, operations, and other teams to gather requirements, lead UAT, and manage implementations of online banking and payment solutions-including bill pay, wires, ACH, Zelle, and RTP.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with digital/online banking applications and payment systems: bill pay, wires, ACH, Zelle, RTP.
  • Demonstrated participation in client migrations involving online banking and treasury systems.
  • Experience with the Q2 Online Banking platform is preferred.
  • Experience with FIS CeB and D1 Business is preferred.
  • Advanced project management experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Formal Business Improvement, Project Management or Business methodology accreditation (e.g., DMAIC, Lean/Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to core banking integrations, APIs, and vendor/payment processors.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Scrum Master) or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, IT, operations, risk/compliance, business lines, and vendor partners.
  • Plan, execute, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT); document results and manage defects to closure.
  • Manage implementations from discovery through production launch for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Oversee payment flows and features including bill pay, domestic/international wires, ACH, real-time payments (RTP), and person-to-person (Zelle) integrations.
  • Define and monitor project plans, timelines, milestones, scope, and risks; escalate as appropriate.
  • Create and maintain user stories, process maps, test cases, training materials, and go-live/runbook documentation.
  • Support post-launch stabilization, issue triage, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, and fraud-prevention requirements.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple implementations (small and large scale).
  • Strong UAT experience: test plan creation, execution, defect tracking, and sign-off.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with payments compliance, risk, and security considerations.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) preferred.
