About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Business Coach to join our team. As a Business Coach, you will play a critical role in strengthening the early education landscape in Washington County. You will provide one-on-one consulting and group training to child care providers, helping them master the "business side" of early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Bilingual Requirement: Required to be fully bilingual (verbal and written) in English/Spanish.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, or related field, or the ability to achieve a Step 10 on the Oregon Registry within 12 months of hire date.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in business management or consulting, including financial planning and marketing strategy.
  • Familiarity with the child care industry and the unique challenges faced by providers.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), virtual meeting platforms (Zoom/Teams), and data management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of systemic inequity and a commitment to applying an equity lens to your daily work.
  • Requires a valid Oregon driver's license, proof of auto insurance for a private vehicle, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR) is required before hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Orgon Registry Master Trainer Certification.
  • Prior experience owning or operating a family child care business or center.
  • Experience with Federal Grant management and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with child care providers to offer tailored advice on business strategy, operations, and financial stability.
  • Develop and lead workshops on essential topics like bookkeeping, marketing, "space-time percentage," and cost-per-child analysis.
  • Act as a bridge between providers and state/local grant opportunities, helping them navigate funding to grow their programs.
  • Assist owners in automating business functions through technology and shared services to increase efficiency.
  • Apply the Oregon Equity Lens and NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct to all community interactions and program supports.
  • Maintain accurate records in partner databases (ORO, CCRISP, etc.) and assist with state and local reporting.
