The Minnesota Business Banking Team Leader will lead and grow a high-performing Business Banking team while driving strong financial results across multiple markets. This role blends people leadership, business development, and portfolio oversight with meaningful impact on clients and communities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial, corporate, or specialized banking
  • Ability to travel locally with reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or willingness to obtain within 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and support staff to drive business development, relationship management, and portfolio performance.
  • Drive profitable growth by initiating new client relationships, expanding existing ones, and leading major deal opportunities.
  • Oversee P&L performance and ensure resources are aligned to highest and best use across assigned markets.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions, including deposits, treasury management, capital markets, and wealth services.
  • Ensure sound credit quality by overseeing portfolio administration, risk management, and compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Advise clients on financial trends and business conditions while developing team capabilities in financial advisory skills.
  • Collaborate with Business Banking leadership to execute market strategy, annual plans, and growth initiatives.
