About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and forward-thinking Business Applications Administrator to lead the onboarding, management, and optimization of the software systems that power our organization. This role will serve as the bridge between technology and operations—ensuring our teams have the tools, training, and support they need to work efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is both technically capable and business-minded, with a passion for improving processes, supporting users with training and troubleshooting, and identifying new technologies that drive growth and operational excellence. This individual will also be responsible for our day-to-day IT requests, working with our IT agency to maintain technical readiness for our team and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing business systems, IT operations, or enterprise software.
  • General understanding of SaaS platforms, integrations, APIs, and data management.
  • Experience implementing and managing business systems.
  • Ability to lead software implementations and integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
  • Project management experience.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of or ability to become an expert in SmartSheet with provided training and self-taught learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and data governance not required but a plus.
  • Understanding of business process mapping a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding and implementation of business software applications.
  • Manage, configure, optimize, and maintain core systems (CRM, production software, project management systems, email, communication tools, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and system troubleshooting in coordination with our IT agency.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and best practices.
  • Prepare business systems training programs for new employee onboarding.
  • Train employees on new and existing systems to ensure adoption and proper usage.
  • Oversee software integrations to ensure seamless data flow between platforms.
  • Manage user access, permissions, data security, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor system performance.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve productivity and scalability.
  • Support leadership with reporting tools, dashboards, and business insights.
  • Assist with software license management.
