About The Position

Rapelje School is seeking a business education and computer literacy teacher for our K-12 school. Applicants must have a valid Montana Educator License with the appropriate endorsement and/or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification. Business Education 5-12 and Elementary Education K-8 are preferred for this K-12 position. The district prefers candidates with dual licensure for all positions. Coaching, extracurricular, and bus driving positions are available for additional stipends. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Our school year is 169 days (including PIR days) with a five-day week, ending one hour early on Fridays. The 2025-2026 school year will be August 25-May 12. School housing may be available. The current rent is $175/month or $275/month, including water. Employees pay for internet, phone, propane, and electricity. We have about 65 K-12 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 5:1. The 2025-2026 base salary is $41,670. Salary depends on certification and years of experience. The district contributes to health insurance. Rapelje School is a small rural school in south central Montana. We are located 25 miles north of Columbus, 65 miles northwest of Billings, 70 miles from Red Lodge, and 124 miles from Bozeman.
