Who we’re looking for The Business Analytics team is seeking a highly technical, qualified Technical Lead to lead development activities from a position of technical expertise for the Data Services group. Deep data engineering and data analytics experience is required across On prem and Cloud platforms, without exception. The Business Analytics (BA) team is a lean, technical, cross-functional analytics team that serves the Toyota and Lexus Divisions by delivering insights and analytics solutions that provide centralized access to and analysis of data stitched together from disparate internal and external sources. What you’ll be doing Hands on development, support and overseeing critical data projects delivered by cross functional teams to ensure they meet the needs of various Business Analytics Reporting use cases ( On prem and Cloud) Work across Business Analytics teams to gather data needs, suggest best practices and pursue data centralization initiatives and create BI ready data assets Oversee and mentor teammates in technical design and development of analytics solutions Advocate data engineering best practices across all engagements, promote data literacy initiatives Work closely with IT and Analytics Platforms team to understand and optimize enterprise IT’s best practices and policies Monitor analytics platform and infrastructure performance from a Business Analytics perspective, and escalate data completion, accuracy, latency issues with front-end teams and IT as needed What you bring Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Data Science; or equivalent work-related professional experience 10+ years of experience operating as the technical lead on high-performing analytics teams Prior work experience providing analytics support to business departments such as e-commerce, sales, marketing, product management, finance, or vehicle parts. 6+ years of experience in data engineering or data analytics( On prem and cloud), using tools such as Alteryx, Talend, Databricks, SSIS, and Informatica. Prior working experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Spark, or Scala. Prior working experience in data architecture and related best practices Prior working experience in developing user-facing tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker. Added bonus if you have Master's degree Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering Experience developing or partnering with data scientists on AI/ML/statistical modeling projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Data Science; or equivalent work-related professional experience
  • 10+ years of experience operating as the technical lead on high-performing analytics teams
