About The Position

NOVACES is hiring a Business Analyst who will provide analytical, operational, and technical assistance to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This support will be coordinated through the DLA Headquarters, Transformation Directorate working directly with the Enterprise Risk Management office. The candidate is expected to apply a wide range of tools such as process mapping, performance management, analytics, and data mining as well as application of industry best practices as necessary. The candidate must be able to apply advanced knowledge of applicable principles and integrate institutional knowledge and experience of associated concepts and practices. Candidate’s support shall include, but is not limited to the following: Support re-writing/updating policies, desk guides, process maps, business process documentation, job aides, training, tools and templates Fuse modern advanced data analysis, research, mathematics, and statistical techniques with data mining, database management, and search/query techniques Use data mining tools, data discovery, data analytics, predictive modeling, simulation or visualization, and analytics software to develop, interpret, and analyze data extracts and reports from systems and databases

Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement is a BA/BS and a journeyman practitioner or industry equivalent certification in business analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, etc.
  • Must have at least three years of business analysis or related experience
  • Must have at least three years of experience consulting, advising, and working with federal government customers
  • Must be certified in Business Process Model and Notation (BMPN 2.0) and have demonstrated experience applying BMPN 2.0 in a DoD agency
  • Must have at least three years of experience consulting, advising, and working with federal government customers
  • Must be able to secure a CAC and DLA systems access on the first day of work
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance Required. Candidates must be able to successfully adjudicate for a DoD Secret (T3).
