About The Position

RiskSpan is a leading provider of analytics, modeling, data, and risk management solutions for the Consumer and Institutional Finance industries. They support banks, issuers, portfolio managers, servicers, and regulators across credit risk, market risk, and technology domains. The company is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support technology and data-driven initiatives. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders, governance teams, and technology teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology or data initiatives.
• Strong experience reviewing policies, standards, and formal documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Jira (Epics, Stories, workflows, acceptance criteria).
• Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in housing finance, mortgage, credit risk, loan servicing, or other regulated financial services environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business needs in collaboration with stakeholders, governance, and technology teams.
• Review policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with business and governance requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Create and manage Jira Epics, Features, and User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Ensure strong traceability from business objectives and standards through delivery and validation.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, walkthroughs, and requirement validation sessions.
• Present requirements, standards, and solution approaches to senior leadership.
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities within Agile teams.
