Our team is seeking a versatile Business Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio clients under the T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) Corporate and Regional Matrixed Budget System (CRMBS) program, which manages fiscal, human resource, and construction financial accounting systems and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement within complex enterprise environments. This role is responsible for analyzing and refining business requirements using Agile methodologies, developing user stories and functional specifications, and supporting the full product development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cost Accounting, or a related scientific or technical discipline (Education may be substituted with 8 additional years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business analysis or a related role
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technical requirements
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to VA sites in Washington, D.C., as needed

  • Knowledge of VA security and compliance standards, including FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA, as well as the VA VIP Lean-Agile framework

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements and business processes; codes, test, debug and implement software solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories and functional specifications to meet business needs.
  • Lead integration efforts and ensure that software and systems are fully compatible across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with project managers and software architects to plan development projects and to ensure solutions meet long-term business goals.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to gather detailed product and technical requirements and to maintain business process documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between organizational units to align operations and goals.
  • Actively participate in enhancement/development projects, including analysis of user needs, gathering requirements, and managing scope of work documentation.
  • When needed, lead backlog grooming, estimation meetings, retrospectives, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution.
