Candidates must be able to be in the Framingham office 2 days per week. Reporting to the VP FP&A and working closely with the finance team and business partners, the Business Analyst adds value by developing and presenting accurate and timely Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) along with supporting key metrics. The Business Analyst will leverage various tools & systems to provide timely and accurate financial insights and help support: Track key drivers of ARR around new logos, upsells, down sells & churn and by key cohort (End Market, Product, Segment, etc) Track retention metrics around gross dollar retention, gross dollar retention excluding down sells, net dollar retention also by key cohort Support digital transformation of reporting suite by helping to integrate AI, automation, and cloud-based systems to move from manual tasks to real-time strategic insights Research significant variances from planned or forecasted ARR by helping to identify, understand and share drivers effectively with VP FP&A, finance team and business partners Help develop robust assumptions to support the annual operating plan and ongoing projections Helping to implement ongoing process improvements to drive business insights and improve efficiency Participate in ad hoc business analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant hands-on experience through internships, co-op programs, or similar real-world opportunities.
  • Proficiency in excel and leveraging large datasets to transform into synthesized insights for business partners
  • Proven experience in Business Analyst role capacity with a focus on leveraging Salesforce, Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc)
  • Analytical skills with ability to research & interpret financial & business data, identify trends, understand drivers of variances
  • Strong business partnering skills with ability to collaborate across both finance & with business leaders
  • Passion for helping to build, maintain templates, calendars and robust processes
  • Manage competing priorities in fast moving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and present findings to stakeholders and collaborate with teams
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in data reporting and analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple tools (Excel Supporting Schedules, Salesforce, Data Visualization Tools) & processes

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with VP, FP&A, collective finance team and business partners to help drive insights around Annual Recurring Revenue and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Monthly reporting packs with What Really Matters metrics delivered timely and accurately
  • Monthly rolling forecasts of ARR with analysis of variances and implications
  • Help support development of migrating ARR reporting from primarily excel based today to digital dashboards in future state to allow for dynamic real-time insights by key cohort
  • Support Board meeting preparation
  • Ad hoc business analysis to support decision framework
  • Help continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to support dynamic business needs and improve forecasting accuracy
