About The Position

Business Analyst NXT is looking for a Business Analyst with expertise in systems development to join our team. The Business Analyst will work with a talented and diverse team to support complex IT project initiatives. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency, and delivering innovative solutions for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable process improvements
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or ITIL Continual Service Improvement
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Consulting experience

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with agency stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and requirements
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis to gather, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements for system enhancements and drive the implementation of solutions
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis to understand the current system's architecture, processes, and limitations
  • Identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains, and work with stakeholders to gather requirements for the project
  • Develop comprehensive business requirements, use cases, and process flows for new systems
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful system transformation results
  • Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with proposed solutions or business changes
  • Contribute to project planning, monitoring, and execution activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions within budget and scope
  • Develop and execute change management strategies and plans to facilitate a smooth transition to new systems
  • Create detailed documentation of business processes, system requirements, and change management plans
  • Analyze data and generate meaningful insights to inform decision-making processes
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and insights to improve performance and efficiency
  • Maintain documentation to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business teams, and other stakeholders to bridge the gap between business needs and system capabilities
