Business Analyst
About The Position
IT Business Analyst to serve as the “front door” for Development Services, coordinating requests, tracking tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Trustworthiness, professional communication, and ability to collaborate across teams will be key factors in selection! All requests will flow through them for requirements gathering, user story development, agile sprint breakdown, creation of Trello cards, and assignment of work to developers. They would also be responsible for tracking progress, staying on top of active sprints through completion, and escalating blocked work as needed. Given that, strong agile experience is ideal. A key part of this role is helping redefine how the team operates, making us more agile and structured, while also serving as a professional, effective communicator who works directly with end users. This person will need to be a self-starter with a high level of autonomy and exceptional organizational skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, or related role; healthcare/health IT experience preferred.
- Experience with Agile/backlog management preferred; certifications not required but preferred.
- Must be a strong communicator and open to long term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for incoming requests; gather and validate business requirements.
- Translate requirements into Agile tasks, user stories, and sprint-ready items.
- Track progress and verify task completion against agreed upon criteria.
- Prioritize tasks and communicate timelines to end users.
- Facilitate end-user engagement and address minor issues promptly.
- Coordinate dependencies and collaborate with cross functional IT teams.
- Support Agile processes, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
