About The Position

JOB FUNCTIONS Partner with various business units to identify member needs, operational challenges, and strategic priorities. Conduct interviews, workshops, and research to gather and prioritize both business and technical requirements. Analyze current workflows and recommend enhancements to improve member experience and operational performance. Develop business cases for new initiatives, including performing ROI analysis, cost-benefit evaluations, and assisting with risk assessments. Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements. Create process models, use cases, workflows, and data diagrams tailored specifically for credit union operations. Ensure that requirements are complete, consistent, and fully aligned with member-centric goals. Maintain and track requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring stakeholder alignment and transparency at each stage. Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, vendors, and support staff to facilitate collaboration and communication. Participate in software selection, integration, and implementation efforts, including core banking systems, CRM platforms, and loan origination systems. Facilitate user acceptance testing and validate solutions against the defined requirements. Provide ongoing analysis and support for implemented solutions to ensure they continue to meet evolving business and member needs. Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, and alternatives for process improvements, ensuring that decision-makers have the information they need. Facilitate end-user training and create comprehensive documentation for new systems and processes. Ensure compliance with all internal standards and external regulations, including NCUA, FFIEC, and PCI requirements. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE Strong understanding of credit union operations, products, and member services. Proficient in requirements gathering techniques and tools (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence). Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards. Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; adept at presenting to stakeholders. SKILLS High level PC skills and expert in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Planner, Visio) Ability to work independently, organize work effectively and take initiative in fast-paced work environment while managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interact with various levels of personnel, including middle, senior, and executive management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated leadership and change management experience. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE The incumbent should hold a degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or have the equivalent of 5 years of work experience performing quantitative analyses and business process improvements. Prior experience working in a financial institution or other regulated industry is highly desirable. Experience supplemented by a strong curriculum of specific credit union and/or general business courses in a continuing education setting is beneficial. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions: Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period. Travel or move from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building. Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds. Ability to work in tight or awkward spaces. Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device. Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment. Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
