About The Position

As a Business Analyst within a Product Team, your role is integral in ensuring our client's IT products meet customer needs and align with business goals. You will support the Product team and its leadership by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements. You will also facilitate team ceremonies and foster effective communication, both verbally and through written artifacts and documentation. Your role sits within a continuously evolving Agile and DevSecOps environment, requiring you to proactively adapt and contribute to the organization's maturation process. Your ultimate aim is to deepen and broaden your team's impact through the delivery of innovative, desirable, and mission critical software products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • A general understanding of popular backend and frontend technologies
  • 2-4 years of experience in agile software product delivery or in direct support of a software development team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite.
  • Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, User Story development, and refinement
  • Ability to be on-site at a client SCIF located in Washington D.C.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
  • Experience in analyzing and synthesizing data.
  • Interest in Data Science topics and methodology.
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Must have an active TS/SCI
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD
  • Must be available to work onsite
  • US citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Familiarity and experience with Government risk management frameworks (RMF) and cyber security authorization processes
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft technologies (M365, Power Platform)
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity and experience operating within the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong track record of successfully supporting the delivery of valuable software products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to derive actionable insights.

  • Cloud budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand business needs and translate them into the product backlog.
  • Assist the product manager in prioritizing product backlog items.
  • Assist the product team in performing estimation and complexity assessments of product backlog items.
  • Assist the product manager in the creation and management of product roadmaps.
  • Assist the product team in generating and managing artifacts and knowledge bases.
  • Assist the product team in body of evidence (BOE) generation and submission.
  • Assist the product team in test planning and management.
  • Facilitate and refine product team level ceremonies (e.g., stand-up, sprint planning).
  • Identify, map, and track dependencies internal and external to the product team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and delivery.
  • Utilize product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 to accomplish daily duties.
  • Leverage tools such as Confluence and Jira to facilitate efficient product management.
  • Manage risks and dependencies effectively in a software development context.
  • Analyze team and product performance through data driven insights
  • Organize and facilitate team, customer, and stakeholder meetings
