Business Analysts are responsible for research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support business decision-making, strategy, and operations. They may also be involved in business process improvement, quality control, special projects, and other initiatives. This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is in San Ramon, CA. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $114,000 Bay Area Mid-Point: $148,000 Bay Area Maximum: $182,000 &/OR California Minimum: $108,000 California Mid-Point: $141,000 California Maximum: $173,000 This job can also participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs. Responsibilities typically include many or all of the following: Data Analysis: Compiles and analyzes data. May develop and maintain data models for what-if analysis and other business purposes. Metrics and Reporting: Develops and tracks business metrics. Develops and maintains standard, custom, and ad-hoc reports. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develops or works with budgets and forecasts. Research: Researches best practices; develops internal and external benchmarks supporting business decisions. Quality Assurance & Business Process Improvement: This position may perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities in support of the business. Activities may include developing, managing, or coordinating performance or quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication, and training. Project Management: Lead projects, determining scope, budget, timeframes, forming teams, assigning tasks, managing resources and issues.
