About The Position

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Technical Writer I to provide support to our public health federal government customer. The Business Analyst / Technical Writer will write technical requirement documents that may be used to inform development team about technical solutions. This position will document and disseminate information pertinent to, and in support of, Informatics Office projects, tasks, and activities. This is a hybrid remote role based in Atlanta, Georgia. Some on-site work will be required at the client’s location in Atlanta, GA based on client's needs. Candidates who currently reside in the Atlanta, GA area will be given preference.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience writing and editing technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience translating technical content into formats written in plain language and easy to understand highly desired.
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities independently and yet maintain the flexibility to respond to additional requests.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • CDC experience preferred. Current or recent CDC badged candidates highly preferred.
  • Ability to pass required Federal background screening, obtain and maintain government clearance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Health, Journalism, English, Communications or closely related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Interface between the Informatics Office and program teams to gather requirements on specific projects. Act as liaison between technical team and the programs.
  • Develop, draft, proofread, edit, revise, and finalize documents using a wide variety of electronic and hard-copy formats. This includes SOPs, support level agreements, platform technical documentation, required EPLC artifacts, white papers, ad-hoc reports, technical and non-technical presentation slides/materials, security deliverables, high-level architectural diagrams, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, governance documents, process flow diagrams, technical operating procedures, implementation plans, migration schedules, and operations and system maintenance manuals.
  • Develop and remediate documents and materials to ensure compliance with 508 accessibility and usability standards.
  • Stand-up and manage an electronic, document library or other repository that will be used to store and submit document deliverables to the Government.
  • Provide coordination, writing, and documentation support to tech leads.
  • Organize and facilitate project status briefings, system demonstrations, alternative proposal presentations, lead user group discussions, requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, and small and large end-user group trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
