About The Position
Business Analyst – Operations & Financial Analysis (Regulated Environment) 📍 Mahwah, NJ (Onsite) 💰 $71,000 – $120,000 + Bonus Potential We are seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to support operational, financial, and strategic initiatives within a highly regulated aerospace/defense-style environment. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive data-backed decision-making, process improvement, and operational performance. This is not a pure IT or dashboard-focused role. We are looking for analysts who understand operations, financial modeling, and compliance-driven business environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong financial modeling and operational analysis experience
- Advanced Excel plus Power BI or Tableau
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional operational teams
- Onsite availability in Mahwah, NJ (5 days/week)
Nice To Haves
- ERP/MRP system experience
- Six Sigma or CBAP certification
- Experience supporting government contracts or defense programs
Responsibilities
- Perform financial modeling, budgeting, and operational performance analysis
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership on strategic initiatives
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Support process standardization and cross-departmental alignment
- Work within ERP/MRP systems to support operational and supply chain analytics
- Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for executive stakeholders
