About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Consultant with expertise in financial systems to serve as a critical bridge between IT and business operations. The ideal candidate will lead business analysis initiatives, gather and define requirements, and support the successful design, testing, and deployment of financial system enhancements, specifically within Oracle Fusion and integrated systems. This role will contribute to optimizing business processes, ensuring alignment with financial goals, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years in business analysis, consulting, or related roles, with demonstrated experience in financial systems analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Proven expertise in financial systems analysis, implementation, or configuration, preferably within Oracle Fusion or similar ERP financial applications.
  • Strong background in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and implementing business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to identify trends, define root causes, and develop data-driven solutions to complex financial system challenges.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities, including high-profile projects such as acquisitions or system integrations.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Service Now, or other issue-tracking or project management software.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams at all levels.
  • Exceptional critical-thinking skills and a proven ability to synthesize information in complex environments to deliver actionable insights.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Kronos UKG and payroll processing, including posting payroll data to the General Ledger (GL).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with financial systems stakeholders to define and analyze business requirements, workflows, and system needs.
  • Foster strong, strategic relationships with business partners to identify opportunities for system optimization and process improvement.
  • Document and refine business processes, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Apply working knowledge of ancillary systems, ensuring successful integration with financial systems.
  • Analyze and map system integrations related to financial systems, including modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
  • Support system testing, auditing, and implementation activities, ensuring they align with business needs and technical requirements.
  • Actively manage and prioritize financial system projects, providing data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage Service Now or issue tracking tools to monitor and resolve system-related issues, root causes, and service requests effectively.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support management and organizational forecasting needs.
  • Provide clear, concise documentation and training materials to support end-user understanding and system adoption.
  • Support system change management and business transformation by identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities in current system processes.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned to ensure the success of financial systems projects and organizational goals.
