The Novelis Global R&D Portfolio Management team, located in Kennesaw, GA, is seeking a Business Analyst Co-op. The person in this role will report to the Innovation Portfolio Manager. This team is responsible for coordinating between various programs across the globe to ensure that the organization is on track to meet its strategic initiatives. You will analyze problems using data to identify insights and recommendations for process improvements. This internship position will start May 2026 and end Decemeber 2026 .
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in business, industrial engineering, data science, or related discipline
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in gathering and organizing comprehensive business requirements
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues and solutions to audiences with limited technical background
- Strong excel skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship within a project or program management team
- Expertise with VBA, Python, SQL, PowerBi, and/or Tableau
- Demonstrated experience defining and documenting business workflows, change management procedures, and data quality processes
Responsibilities
- Diagnose opportunity areas by analyzing the data within our portfolio management software
- Collaborate and align with stakeholders to clearly define the business needs
- Learn domain data and describe to stakeholders what is and is not available
- Communicate findings in easily understood ways and connect insights to existing tools
- Produce reports and presentations to synthesize performance indicators and provide decision analytics for management
- Document the changes to the business process and relevant data workflows for training users and development of standard operating procedures
