As a Business Systems Analyst Sr within PNC’s C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, This role requires a strong Business Systems Analysis background to support complex, enterprise scale technology solutions. The Business Analyst Sr partners with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and serves as a key enabler on an Agile team.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to analyze complex systems, data flows, and integrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non technical audiences
  • Strong experience with requirements management and Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, DevOps, Figma, Confluence)
  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business analysis and systems analysis for complex applications, integrations, and business processes
  • Analyze and document business, functional, and system requirements
  • Translate requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify solution and process improvements
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and QA to support end to end delivery
  • Support UAT, defect triage, and solution validation to ensure business outcomes are met
  • Ensure all requirements explicitly address regulatory constraints
  • Participates in analyzing business requirements and production specifications for changes made to technology applications.
  • Formulates and defines the system scope and objectives, based on user needs and business processes .
  • Directs business process improvement projects for internal business groups, aiming to improve business results .
  • Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes .
  • Provides recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues, for a specific business group .
