About The Position

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Monitor to join our elite team in Plattsburgh, NY. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication & customer service skills.
Attention to detail
Good judgement/problem solving skills
Ability to manage high degrees of stress
Commitment to safety
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while in route.
Keeps order on the bus.
Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.
Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus utilizing Zonar technology, including child checks.
Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, students, and parents.
Attends all safety and training meetings.
Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of exiting by emergency door.
Opens and closes service doors and moves up and down steps multiple times daily.
Other duties as required
