About The Position

We are seeking a Bus Mechanic to institute and carry out regular preventive maintenance program. Monitor drivers' reports of vehicle problems and correct as soon as possible so as not to interfere with scheduled runs. Maintain records, quotes, invoices, quarterly maintenance reports, drivers' weekly maintenance check sheets, and responsible for having all vehicles inspected. Must be able to diagnose and make all general repairs to school buses, school vans, and other associated vehicles. Will drive as substitute bus driver as needed. Requirements

• A minimum of two years of diesel engine repair/service experience preferred
• NJ Class B CDL, with P and S Endorsements, no air brake restrictions preferred (will train)
• ASE certifications preferred
• Knowledge of NJ School Bus Regulations (will train)
• Ability to collaboratively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Current residency in NJ, approved residency waiver, or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment required
• Criminal and Employment Background Clearance required
