About The Position

COMMERICAL BUS OPERATOR Primary Responsibilities: - Safely transport employees between Shaw’s Methuen, MA, and Wells, ME Distribution Centers driving a company-provided Bus coach. - Adhere to all applicable FMCSA regulations, including maintaining accurate ELD Hours of Service (HOS) records, conducting required pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and following all safety protocols. - Operate the provided vehicle in full compliance with the federal I.C.C.C. state, and local rules, ensuring all transportation documentation is updated and correct in timely manner. - Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to ensure reliable operation. On occasion, you may also serve as an on-site translator during orientations and training sessions. Although much of your day is spent working independently on the road, your role is an essential component of our broader warehouse operations, which emphasizes safety, reliability, and career development. DOT Regulatory Compliance: Hours of Service (HOS): Strict adherence to DOT regulations regarding driving time, required rest breaks, and overall work hours is mandatory. Vehicle Inspections: Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines to ensure the vehicle’s safety. Documentation: Accurately maintain all driving logs and inspection records for review by Company or DOT representatives. Safety Commitment: Consistently comply with all Local, State and Federal regulations and best practices to protect both employees and company property. Payrate: The hourly rate for this role will be no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid CDL B with a Passenger Endorsement and maintain a clean driving record
  • A minimum of 2+ years driving experience in a commercial passenger setting
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to safety, including familiarity with DOT HOS regulations and vehicle inspection guidelines
  • Hours of Service (HOS): Strict adherence to DOT regulations regarding driving time, required rest breaks, and overall work hours is mandatory.
